Reppy Institute Graduate Fellows Program for 2019-2020

Each year the Reppy Institute recognizes a select group of Cornell graduate students by designating as many as eight Reppy Institute Graduate Fellows, as well as one Reppy Institute Director's Fellow.

Fellows will be expected to participate in the Institute's activities (primarily our Thursday brown-bag seminar series); each fellow will receive a very modest stipend of $200 to be spent on research-related activities at the student's discretion (the Director's Fellow will receive an additional stipend).

The Fellows Program will also have in its budget resources to bring in one speaker spring semester, and the fellows as a group will be in charge of that visit. The Fellows may also have the opportunity to organize and run one event in the spring semester. The Director's fellow will coordinate with the Reppy Institute Director regarding these events.

Fellows are appointed for one year, renewable. Students wishing to be considered for this program for 2019-2020 should send a short note of interest, C.V., and a transcript to Elaine Scott at the Reppy Institute (130 Uris Hall, or by no later than April 29, 2019.  As noted, appointments are renewable, but current fellows wishing to be considered for another year, need to reapply.

Preference in selecting fellows tends to favor those who have already indicated an interest in the Institute's activities by, for example, attending the weekly seminars. Students entering Cornell graduate programs in Fall 2019 may be considered if their interests focus particularly on issues of peace and conflict.
